Zero discharge effluent treatment plant

In 2021, Colors (formerly Laramno) installed a completely new pre-treatment line. For their water treatment, they have once again chosen to work with PCA. Because they want to installation to be future-proof, they chose a vacuum evaporator to purify and recover the wastewater from the rinsing baths. Thanks to this investment, the entire plant is waste-free (waterwise).

A duplex ion exchanger is used to produce the demineralised water. The ion exchanger is regenerated internally whereby the regeneration fluid is treated on the evaporator and can thus be reused.
