Vacuum belt filter
A nice and continuous technology to separate fluid from solid compound is through a vacuum belt filter.
It involves pumping the fluid (after pre-treatment) onto a filter cloth. Underneath this filter cloth there are rooms in which negative pressure is created. As a result of the negative pressure, the water is sucked through the filter cloth. The sludge cannot pass through the cloth and will remain on the cloth.
Depending on the strength of the vacuum and the duration of the negative pressure the sludge will be more or less de-watered.
PCA can help you with this technology, both in design and construction of the installation.
